Background
I started my journey at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Fall 2022 as graduate student in Computer Science. Some of my favorite courses have been - Cloud Computing, Computational Photography, Computer Vision and Applied Parallel Programming.
I have also been working as a Graduate Research Assistant at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications. I have been working with researchers to develop tools for chemists and students to analyze protein sequences, extract diagrams from PDFs.
After graduation, I joined Microsoft as a Software Engineer where I worked with a phenomenal team of software engineers and program managers to build a notification platform. I contributed to all areas - from building the UI and API services to deploying and managing cloud resources.
In my final year, I interned at Qubole, where I worked on building a cost attribution model for CPU usage metrics for big data queries running on heterogeneous clusters and designed Directed Acyclic Graphs using Apache Airflow to create data pipelines with Hive and Spark operators.
I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a degree in Physics at the Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani - Hyderabad Campus.
During my undergradute studies, I learnt about the fundamentals of Computer Science as well as Physics. I also did various internships - where I had the opportunity to work on some amazing projects - building a web interface for Autonomous underwater vehicles, and configuring backend architechture to orchestrate microservices using Kubernetes.
